9 months old

Yesterday Trent was 9 months old and he had his check up. Height is 93rd percentile, weight is 75 percentile and his head is 70 percentile for his age. The doctor was really impressed with his milestones and all around behavior. He is now fully crawling, pulling up and walking around furniture, he's starting to wave hi and bye and just the other day he stood up with out pulling up on anything! The last few months have been so awesome with Trent. He has such a personality coming out and is so much fun!

Breakfast and naps

This just made my day! While I was at work David sent me an email telling me how Trent fell asleep while eating his waffle for breakfast. Attached was this picture! This kid sure has a tough life :-)

Good Times and Bad Times

It amazes me how such wonderful things, like my sister graduating high school, can happen and then right after such sad things can happen. My grandma passed away May 21st and it was extremely difficult for my whole family! My sister and I were really close to my grandma as we would spend at least a month every summer in Indiana visiting her and our other family there. My grandma was one of the main reasons we developed such good relationships with our cousins and I just cherish so many memories that I had with her. Out of the sadness of going back to Indiana for her funeral was the positive of seeing my family again and spending some time with them. It was so nice getting a few days with my sister and her new baby, Braden. As my grandma was the glue for my cousins and me, I hope the same thing for Trent and his cousins. When things like this happen it makes your apperciate every person in your life so much more!
(I wanted to include the picture of Grandma with Trent from Thaknsgiving. I'm so greatful she got to meet him a few times.)

Graduation Time

During Memorial Day weekend my little sister graduated high school. It was so nice to be around the family but extremely sad to see my little sister graduating!! I'm very proud of her though. She's been accepted to Texas Tech and I just know she will do great things with her adulthood!!

Bath time Fun

I just wanted to share some updated pictures of Trent during his bath time. It's really hard to get pictures of Mr. Serious while he's smiling. Every time we pull out the camera he just stares and we lose the smile but he LOVES his bath time so much I was able to get a good one of him. He can be tired and cranky but put him in the bath and he'll play and splash away! The picture on the left just makes me laugh :-)

Stand by me

Trent has pretty much perfected his crawling abilities and not too long after learning to crawl did he start pulling himself up. Shortly after learning to crawl Trent found his basket full of toys and had a great time pulling every single one of them out. In the last week he's been "walking" around the tables, couches, chairs or all over us. I'm very grateful we have a house now that gives him more room to explore and work on his new skills.

Happy Birthday Braden!

Today Braden finally made his debut after mommy went through a very long and uncomfortable labor. The doctor finally decided on doing a c-section earlier this morning. He weighed in at 8 pounds and is 21 inches long. Mommy, daddy and baby are doing well. It's amazing how much Braden and Trent look alike, we must have some strong genetics in our family :-)

Spring Time

We have a beautiful field of bluebonnets near our home so the other day my sister in law took the kids out there to get some pictures. I wanted to share them because I thought they turned out great!! (and yes, Trent is about to eat that flower)

Easter Weekend

Trent has been a very busy baby! He has learned to crawl like a pro and is starting to pull himself up on things (like the couch or coffee table). We all had a really nice relaxing Easter. Trent "found" some eggs and a good time playing with the other kids and babies. It is amazing how quick time flies! I can't get over that he is already 7 months old!! Also, an update on Braden, my sister is 1 cm dialated and at about 37 weeks so anyday now we can expect the newest member to our family!!

My Buddy

We have just been so blessed to be able to have my sister in law, Melissa, watch Trent! Trent's youngest cousin, Gavin, is just 6 months older than him so they are finally able to play together. To the left you can see them having a "drool contest". I just absolutely love the fact that Trent will be able to grow up so close to his cousins and Gavin and him are already little buddies. Just the other day Melissa told me they were holding hands while riding together in the stroller. I just know how much my cousins made my childhood so much fun that I am just thrilled that Trent will have the same thing!!
