Ok, I know I probably should not be admitting this but am really fine with everyone knowing how unobservant I can be sometimes. So, I may have had my camera for quite awhile now and the other day I was playing around with it and realized that I can take pictures in so many different ways!! It has sepia, black and white and a ton of other options of taking pictures. Last night, my sister in law, brother in law, their kids and Trent and I went to the little beach area by the lake. I decided to play around and take some pictures and I think some of them turned out really cute. Here are some of Trent and Gavin (Trent's cousin). The boys had so much fun playing in the sand and water and just exploring.
Thanks for stopping by our family's blog! We wanted to have a spot for our family and friends to be able to keep updated on our lives and be able to watch and enjoy our little guys growing up right before our eyes!

Home sweet home
Last week David and I finally had a vacation just the two of us. It has been over 4 years since we have had an alone trip. We went to Playa del Carmen in Mexico for 5 days and it was wonderful! Towards the end we really started getting home sick and missing our little guy. I added one of my favorite pictures from the trip when we got to play with some cute little monkeys. We got back home late Saturday night and woke Trent up for about 30 minutes just so we could see him for a little bit. He was really confused and sleepy but we got some smiles and hugs and then knew he was ready to go back to bed when he grabbed his blankies and walked back into his room. The next morning he would not stop laughing and smiling and kept asking us over and over "Where'd you go?" No answer we gave him was good enough so he just kept asking and then finally started laughing and hugging again. Unfortunately, the next day, Trent came down with a fever and all he wanted was his mommy so we cuddled and took a little nap together on the couch (which he rarely does! He's a very independent sleeper) The following day he's fever went away but he's still been a little cranky and tired looking. I honestly am not sure if he's just been so thrown out of his routine he just wasn't sleeping well or if he got a little bug. Hopefully he'll be back his normal little sweet self soon. I wanted to add another picture because I'm sure like most kids his age, he just loves our sunglasses! In the car he'll say "Ma ma, ma ma, peeaassse" while pointing at my glasses. Of course, I had to get some pictures out of it :-)

Baseball Game
Every spring my company does a picnic of some sort and like they did last year, they provided us tickets to the Rough Riders game in Frisco. It's a lot of fun as everyone from my office has the option to go and we get to all sit by each other, meet everyone's family and just get to hang out in a causal atmosphere. They draw names and give away prizes (ipods!!) and toys to the kids.Trent had a blast walking around, visiting with everyone and playing with the toys they gave away.He also had crackerjacks for the first time and boy did he love those. He's such a busy little guy that hopefully next year he'll realize that there is actually a game going on. Unfortunately David had to work but maybe by next year he'll be able to go with us :-)
