Sibling Class

Today David and I took Trent to the sibling class at the hospital. It's aimed for the ages 2-5 years old and goes over the basic of a new baby in the house. Unfortunately, I don't think Trent took too much from the class because for some reason was really tired earlier than normal today. Everyone brought a picture and the kids got to decorate around it. Trent LOVED this part!! He loved helping glue the shapes together and coloring. (And yes, he did choose the hot pink foam paper to glue his picture to). They showed a video about babies and read through a story. Then we got to help wrap a baby doll in a blanket. They gave the kids a hospital hat, face mask and robe. We went on a tour of the hospital and there was one new born in there for the kids to see. If anything, being at the hospital and seeing the different rooms will hopefully help him out when he comes to visit the baby and me in the hospital!!

Baby Shower

The Saturday after Christmas, our families put together a baby shower for our new little addition, Carter. They did a great job and it was so nice seeing all the family. There was an adorable little clothes line with some baby clothes and the cake was wonderful! We are so grateful and appreciative of everything we received and all the support we have gotten from everyone! I'm 34 weeks today so we have 6 weeks or less until our new addition arrives.

Christmas Time

My goodness, were the last couple of weeks so busy! We always have so many places to go and people to see during Christmas. It's great seeing all our family but it also goes so quickly. We started Christmas Eve meeting Adrianne, Nigel, their kiddos, my mom and Kelly for lunch. Afterwards we headed to David's mom's house to celebrate Christmas with them. It was Pam, Don, Steve, Melissa, Brodie, Skylar, Gavin and us. We had a really good time relaxing, talking and playing some Rock Band. The next morning Trent woke up to find that Santa had come and brought him some presents!! He got a new kitchen, shopping cart, race track and so much more! Of course his favorite toy of the day was the submarine that was probably at most, a few dollars! :-)

After hanging out at home and enjoying some quiet time, we got ready to head to meet my mom, Kelly, Adrianne, Nigel, Braden & Teagan for brunch. Oh my goodness, was the food so good!! Trent was so excited to see the Santa there and the boys also got to make their own cookies.

After eating some great food, we headed back to our house to open more presents and take some naps. We then headed to Aunt Jayne's house to do Christmas over there. We got to meet my cousin's little guy, Hunter. We got a picture of the boys with Grandma Fletta!! So cute! It was great hanging out and catching up with everyone. Braden and Trent had a blast running around and playing together. It was also good for Trent to practice his sharing skills! One of the funniest things too was when David was giving Trent a bath, Braden came into the bathroom and Trent told him "But I don't have a shirt on!"

To end off our Christmas celebrations, the next day we went over to David's grandparent's house. We enjoyed some more food and more present opening. Trent had a blast running around playing with his cousins. Pepaw also gave him a harmonica to play with and boy did he LOVE that!!!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!!
