After months and months of teething Trent finally got two little teeth on the bottom!! He's gums have been swollen on and off since he was about 2 or 3 months old and even at his six month check up the doctor predicted they would be out in a couple of weeks but not until a few days ago did we see them break through. It is amazing how well Trent slept the next few nights after getting them but we know we have many more teething pains to go through until he's finished getting them all.
Thanks for stopping by our family's blog! We wanted to have a spot for our family and friends to be able to keep updated on our lives and be able to watch and enjoy our little guys growing up right before our eyes!

Summer Fun
In the town of Little Elm, every Friday night they have a mini concert at the local lake. People bring their kids, dogs, food and just hang out and have some fun. I took Trent into the lake for the very first time and boy did he have a blast!! As soon as I put him on the "beach" area he started crawling around in amazement by the new textured ground. Then I brought him into the water and he loved splashing around and even tried crawling in the water! I knew how much he loved bath time but I sure didn't think he would take to the lake like this. It was so much fun watching him in this new environment and love it. By the way, to the people who have seen how he puts EVERYTHING into his mouth, yes he did eat a little bit of sand :-)
(Sorry the picture is blurry but I didn't have a camera so a friend of ours caught the moment with her camera phone)

9 months old
Yesterday Trent was 9 months old and he had his check up. Height is 93rd percentile, weight is 75 percentile and his head is 70 percentile for his age. The doctor was really impressed with his milestones and all around behavior. He is now fully crawling, pulling up and walking around furniture, he's starting to wave hi and bye and just the other day he stood up with out pulling up on anything! The last few months have been so awesome with Trent. He has such a personality coming out and is so much fun!

Good Times and Bad Times
It amazes me how such wonderful things, like my sister graduating high school, can happen and then right after such sad things can happen. My grandma passed away May 21st and it was extremely difficult for my whole family! My sister and I were really close to my grandma as we would spend at least a month every summer in Indiana visiting her and our other family there. My grandma was one of the main reasons we developed such good relationships with our cousins and I just cherish so many memories that I had with her. Out of the sadness of going back to Indiana for her funeral was the positive of seeing my family again and spending some time with them. It was so nice getting a few days with my sister and her new baby, Braden. As my grandma was the glue for my cousins and me, I hope the same thing for Trent and his cousins. When things like this happen it makes your apperciate every person in your life so much more!
(I wanted to include the picture of Grandma with Trent from Thaknsgiving. I'm so greatful she got to meet him a few times.)
